Easy Ways to Clean Your Glass Top Stoves That Actually Work

The glass top stoves are more susceptible to the scratches and pits because they have got a delicate surface, especially if you use abrasive house cleaning products and sponges. To clean the glass top stoves you just need to follow few simple house cleaning tips by house cleaning West Seattle. Just make sure that you turn off your stove and clean up the food particles/gunk before you start cleaning it.

Fill a bowl with hot tap water and a few drops of dish soap

During the house cleaning process you just need to create a sudsy, soapy water mixture by adding dish soap or liquid detergent then take your fresh microfiber cloth and dip it into the mixture. The soap chemicals react with the oil and break it up which makes it very easy to remove and if you use hot water it will speed up the process.

If you wish then you can even use 50/50 mixture of vinegar and water if you are unwilling to use liquid dish detergent for house cleaning your glass top stove.

Submerge a soft, microfiber towel into the soap and water mixture

During the house cleaning process you need to take a fresh microfiber towel that is soft enough to clean your glass top stove without giving harsh scratches to the stove’s surface! Leave the towel to soak until and unless it’s saturated with the soapy mixture. Try to make sure that the towel is big enough to cover the entire stove and if it’s not big enough then you can use two towels.

Sprinkle a thick layer of baking soda over the stove

During the house cleaning process you just need to sprinkle the baking soda on the entire soap where you feel like the stove is stained or you can even sprinkle it across the entire stove for a more thorough house cleaning.

Remove the towel and wring it out

When house cleaning you are supposed to take the towel out of the soap mixture and wring out the excess water. Make sure that the towel is wet enough so that it can moisten the baking soda solution but not so wet that you make puddles on the entire glass top stove.

Lay the towel on the stove and wait at least 15 minutes

When house cleaning leave the towel to the stained areas and wait for 30 minutes to prevent it from drying out as it sets into the leftover cooking debris.

Scrub the stovetop with the towel

Once the time is up during the house cleaning scrub it in the circular motion to pick up all weakened bits of food. Baking soda will remove the residue.

Scrape away any remaining debris with a graspable razor blade

During the house cleaning choose a razor blade having a handle to remove the food that has been stuck on the edge of your glass top stove, the angle should be 45 degrees to safe removal to food gunk.
